The latest part of a major $2 billion Legacy West mixed-use development in West Plano is getting underway after developer Fehmi Karahan selected a development team to oversee the project, a luxury condo tower.
The 30-story, 152-unit luxury condo tower includes plans for homes ranging from a 937-square-foot, one-bedroom condor to penthouses with more than 2,800 square feet of living space. The tower is designed with underground parking, an amenity floor and a sky lounge.
For years, Karahan has heard customers and friends who frequent The Shops at Legacy comment on the need for a condo tower in West Plano.
“Often it was friends with kids that had gone off to college and they didn’t want to maintain their homes in the northern portion of Dallas and the Frisco area,” Karahan told the Dallas Business Journal.”People wanted an alternative that could simplify their lives.”
He said he thinks the condos will sell well to baby boomers, professionals wanting to locate near work and companies looking to have a corporate home for international guests.
Karahan has selected the following as members of the condo tower team: Duggan, Bradford, Bradford and Gafford as the developer of the condo tower
GDA as the architect of the condor tower Manhattan Construction as the pre-construction contractor Bradford Putnam Realty to help oversee the project

The tower is the latest part of Legacy West, which has landed major corporate tenants, such as Toyota North America, Liberty Mutual Insurance and FedEx Office.
Last month, Karahan filed plans with the City of Plano for the two towers for Liberty Mutual Insurance’s regional hub, which will span about 1 million square feet of office space. He said the two towers will “make a statement” in the West Plano project.
“This will be an extremely important part of Legacy West,” Karahan, president and CEO of The Karahan Cos., told the Dallas Business Journal last month .”This adds another 5,000 people to the community in buildings with beautiful architecture.”
