In early 1983 Mr. Coker was recruited by a competing brokerage where his focus shifted to single family and investment properties. Mr. Coker received several honors while continuing to grow his business by focusing on innovative marketing and personalized service for his clients.
1996 marked the beginning of a successful relationship with Toronto based Fram Building Group where his introduction to Cliff Bowman and Harold Green made Mr. Coker an integral part of their organization, BIREM. BIREM specialized in the pre-sale and marketing of high-rise condominium projects across North America and the group teamed up for projects in Canada, Washington, Texas, California, and Florida.
The year 2000 ushered in a new millennium and the inception of Al Coker & Associates. The experiences gained working in competitive markets like Toronto, San Francisco, and Vancouver gave the new company an instant advantage in Texas.
The firm leveraged this wisdom, talent, and knowledge into the creation of the most successful developer oriented company in Texas. Between 2000 and 2008, Al Coker & Associates Sales Programs closed sales in excess of $700M in the Lone Star State.
The economic downturn of 2008 created many challenges in the marketplace but also opportunities for the company to thrive. The creativity and drive that embody the firm paid dividends and allowed clients and Al Coker & Associates to weather the storm and position themselves for continued success with the recovery. Mr. Coker’s experiences with workouts and the psychology of downturns were hard learned in the 80’s and those lessons led to the successful marketing and sales of projects in North Carolina, Texas, Mexico, and Florida from 2010 until the present. In 2014 the company opened a new office in Mexico City that teams with locations in Palm Beach, Florida and Dallas, Texas.
